Why the JSSUK joined the Foreign Bird Federation

The Java Sparrow Society UK joined the Foreign Bird Federation with the sole aim to play as active a role as is possible in the everyday business of the federation’s drive to organise and unify the UK foreign bird fraternity and to then promote all positive aspects for all foreign birdkeepers in the wider world to create a better understanding for all on what bird keeping is really about. This is to be done working in league with all other sections of our hobby for the good of all bird keepers in the UK.

Our Aims & Objectives

The aims of the JSSUK are quite simple; to promote the keeping, breeding and exhibiting of Java Sparrows in aviculture and to assist in as active a role as possible to help with the continuous fight to conserve, positively promote and protect our great hobby as a whole in the UK by working hand in hand with other groups to better our hobby. Open promotion of conservation of our chosen species in the wild and the promotion of any suitable and sustainable projects will also be fully supported.

Benefits of JSSUK membership

The real benefit of the JSSUK is that never before has such a pool of knowledge and experience in all aspects of Java Sparrows been ‘under one roof’ so to speak. Since its inception the JSSUK has continually strived to provide as much detailed and correct information on the Java sparrow that it is hoped will assist in enabling the JSSUK to act a central point for all Java enthusiasts the world over. As a member you get quarterly newsletters of a growing quality and contact with a large growing number of fellow Java fans in all parts of the UK, Europe and beyond. Our newsletters are available in 2 formats, the traditional postal form or the electronic ones where members download them to their pc’s, saving paper if the member decides not to print the newsletters themselves and just read and enjoy on their computer. Access to a constantly evolving website is only a mouse click away.
